Now that Pirelli have announced their interim tyre fix for Germany with Kevlar belted tyres, thoughts turn to who will take advantage of the more conservative tyres at the Nurburgring. By the time of the Hungarian Grand Prix at the end of the month there will be all new tyre products. As Pirelli Motorsport boss Paul Hembery says: "These tyres will be easier to manage". The effect of more conservative compounds was already being felt as Red Bull and Mercedes had started to get on top of the situation but it seems the teams such as Lotus, Force India and partially Ferrari who have benefitted from suspension that is kinder to the front tyre, may lose the advantage of their softer sprung cars...
